Staying at Home Alone

I took my school report and came back home cautiously only to find mother wasn't at home. She went to my aunt's and wou!d come back in the evcning. I knew that fi'om a note on the table. I was still a little bit frightened as if mother would come back suddenly.

Seeing the low marks on the school report and remcmbering mother's cold face, I almost trembled with fear. lf mother know I got so low marks oa the subjects, especially English, she would tear all my cartoon books which are my fovourite. I have been treating them as my own life for a long time. But mother always thought cartoon diverted my attention from study and had a bad effect on me. Frankly speaking, I had realized it. Mother hated those books. She had warned me if I got low marks once more she would get rid of them. I Still wanted to keep those books even if I would mever touch them from then on. What should I do? I knew that any persuation was in vain. I would prevent mother from doing that.

A good idea stroke me. I gathered all the books and put them in a box. Then, I hid the box under my bed. Having done it carefully, I had a breathing spell.

Opening the English book, I sat at the desk and began to read. It was really the time that I learned English carefully, I thought.

我拿着成绩单小心翼翼地回到了家中,不料竟发现妈妈不在。她去了阿姨家,晚上才回来。从桌上的便条中我知道了这些。我还是有点害怕,好像妈妈会突然回来。

一看到成绩单上的低分,一想到妈妈那冷冷的脸,我几乎怕得发抖。如果妈妈知道我得了这么低的分数,特别是英语,她会撕了我所有的漫画书。我喜欢漫画,那是我的最爱。长久以来,我把这些漫画书当作了我的生命,但是妈妈总是认为漫画分散了我的学习精力,给我造成了很大的影响。说实话,我也已经意识到了。妈妈厌恶这些书,她曾警告我,如果我再考低分,她就把它们部清除掉。即使我从此以后不再碰这些书,我还是想把它们保存下来。我应当怎么办呢?我知道说服是徒劳的,我要阻止妈妈那么做。

突然,我想出了一个主意,我把所有的书集中起来放进一个箱子,然后把箱子藏在床下。小心翼翼地做完这些后,我舒了一口气。

每一篇Reading课文都是比较重要的,但这些课文往往很长很枯燥,教师应该根据不一样的文体,设计不一样的教法:在Home Alone 本节课我通过不同的任务设置,让学生在小组活动中通过合作和探究来完成各个任务,活动轻松有趣,不同的任务设置激发了学生的学习兴趣和用英语表达的欲望。在Role-paly环节中,组织学生话剧演出, 学生积极参加,敢于创新,敢于表现自己,同时对于学生整节课堂中的表现、所取得的成绩等,给予赞赏以达到激励学生学习,使学生获得成就感,增强自信心,培养合作精神。学生的快乐感来了,效率也就跟着上去了。但由于学生的语言基础不扎实,在表达自己的看法和用英语进行讨论时,不时有学生夹杂着汉语,或有的学生不敢大胆说出自己的看法,因此在平时的教学中,我应该让学生掌握常用句型,尽量帮助学生解决语言困难。 上完公开课之后,我对高一英语教学有了一个新的认识,认为学生学好英语不容易,同时要教好也是一个很大的挑战,因此,我对如何教好高一英语做了一下思考:

一、注意高一年级与初中的衔接过渡

高一新学期伊始,我们通过入学考试了解学生大致水平,及时给学生弥补初中的缺漏知识。利用一月左右的时间从语言、词汇、语法、句型等方面帮助学生系统复习。尽快使学生适应了高中英语教学,具体做法是:培养学生课前预习、课后复习的良好学习习惯;坚持用英语授课,要求并鼓励学生用英语思考问题、回答问题;根据高考要求,从高一年级开始就培养学生的阅读能力,教会学生一些阅读技巧,养成良好的阅读习惯;另外,课后还加强了与学生接触,尽快和学生熟悉起来。

二、高中英语教学要始终贯彻交际性原则,强化学生主体意识

“让游泳者到水中去。”这是交际语言教学理论的思想核心。语言学家毛鲁(KE Morrow)曾说过:“To learn it, do it… only by practising communicative activities can we learn to communicate.” 意思是,要学,就得实践。贯彻交际性原则亦就是要把教学活化为实际,我的做法是:

1.建立“课前五分钟会话“,培养课堂交际氛围。如一进课堂我说:“It’s nice to see you again./It’s fine today, isn’t?/How are you today?”星期一上课问:“Did you have a good time in the weekend?”学生会作出不同的回答,引出更多的对话,从而达到交际的目的。

2.尽量坚持让学生作duty report。这一做法初中就经常采用,然而到了高中我仍然坚持让学生继续做,实践证明duty report是锻炼学生开口的好方法。具体是让当天值日生在讲台前向同学们介绍当天日期、天气、出勤等情况,也可以让他们讲故事,并允许他们随意挑选同学回答问题。

3.适当让学生表演对话或课文内容。针对近期所学内容,布置学生课后进行讨论排练,然后再搬上课堂表演。

4.每周一至周五晚上进行15分钟的黄金背诵,每单元做一份双语报,及时巩固学生所学知识。

三, 培养学生探究性学习的能力。在课前我要求学生先预习,找出语言点;课后整理总结笔记,并发现重难点。比如在教授“一般过时和现在完成时”的时候,我就先让学生看课后的例句,并自己发现直接引语和间接引语的不同点。这样不仅锻炼了学生自主学习的能力,也增强了他们的成就感。

四,根据常常听到老师抱怨:才讲的语言点学生又忘了,这个语言点讲过多少遍,结果还是记不住。这种现象非常普遍。一方面,讲得太多,学生无法全部记住。有时语言点多达几十个,而且好多语言点都是来自字典、资料,甚至连我们老师也无法记住,怎么可能要求学生记住呢?毕竟学生要学的不只是英语一门功课。另一方面,学了之后不用或者不知道怎么用。时间长了自然就忘了。课堂是英语教学的主战场,不通过听、说、读、译来巩固效果,是不能掌握所学知识的。

1、积极参与课堂活动。

我们现在使用的高中英语教材主题贴近现实生活,重点强调学生动口动手,而不是死记单词和语法规则。课堂上要求学生要听从老师的指挥,积极参与对话、讨论,发言,要敢于开口,不怕出错,珍惜课堂上的每一分钟,不放弃每一次用英语交流的机会。英语是一门实践性很强的学科,只有大胆实践,才能提高交流能力。我们要在听、说、读、写四项技能上全面发展,听说领先。主要以训练听与说的能力为主,以后逐步加大阅读和书面表达训练。

2、英语学习要重视句子和文章的朗读背诵,以培养语感.。学英语记单词很重要,但机械记忆的单词量再大,也不会真正提高英语水平。要做到词不离句,句不离文,句子比单词重要,记句子比记单词划算,要养成背句子的好习惯,因为句子中既包含了发音规则,又有语法内容,还有词的具体用法。学过的课文要高声朗读,精彩段落和文章要读透背熟。朗读也是提高口语的办法。学英语语感很重要,而朗读、背诵,多听多说有助于培养语感。通过大量的朗读背诵,我们的语感形成了,这时候我们的语音语调就更标准,常用句子就能脱口而出,说英语就更自信;在阅读文章时就能轻易地找到上下文关联的感觉,体会到英语文字的美。

3、英语学习要重视复习。

英语知识点多,需要大量记忆。很多同学抱怨,说自己的记性差,记了又忘了。最好的办法是反复地听,反复地读,课文中的语言点、词汇在录音带中不断被重复。这跟我们提倡朗读是一个道理,声音对大脑的刺激有助于记忆。英语首先是一门声音,我们要多运用耳朵和嘴巴,要大量进行声音的输入与输出。其次要经常复习,要合理地安排复习时间。首先要及时复习。遗忘的规律是:前快后慢,

先多后少,记忆后最初遗忘得较快,以后逐渐减慢。针对这一规律,学习新知识后应及早加以复习。其次在复习中要多尝试回忆,背诵。尝试着回忆与识记交替进行,印象会更深刻一些,同时也知道了教材的重点和难点在哪里,复习更有目的性和针对性。

4、英语学习,跟任何知识的学习一样,以自学为主。

要让学生养成自觉学习的习惯。语言学习不是老师讲会的,而是自己练会的。我们的英语教学是精讲多练,讲练结合,以练为主。有些同学听力不好,只有一个办法:坚持听,每天5-10分钟,而且长期听,一定会有效果的;阅读能力要靠大量的阅读来提高,词汇量的积累和文化背景知识的丰富也是在阅读中完成的。

五, 建立良好的师生关系,经常和学生一起反思学习过程中的不足,并加以改正。教和学是一对矛盾,作为矛盾双方的教师和学生如何和谐融洽师生关系,对完成教学至关紧要。在开学一周后我就让学生以不署名的方式给我的教学提意见,下课后我也经常深入学生中询问他们的听课效果,学习情况,以改进自己的教学方法,最大限度的提高教学质量。

这阶段的教学实践让我深刻认识到一名好的教师不仅要有过硬的专业知识,还有有耐心、爱心。要把理论和实践相结合,不断的提高自身素质,多听有经验老师的课,取其精华,并将其运用到自己的教学当中,不断反思自己教学中的不足。而且作为新课改成功与否的关键性因素,我们教师自身要深刻理解课改精神,把教学与课改目标紧密结合,不断更新观念,与新课程共成长。
