克服高中生英语书面表达恐惧心理的有效途径
【摘要】根据高中学生怕写作的现状，笔者认真分析了恐惧心理产生的根源，并从“克服心理定势，激活学生写作兴趣；激励性讲评，让学生体验成功的喜悦；夯实语言基础，切实提高写作能力 ”这三个方面探究了克服高中学生书面表达恐惧心理的有效途径，以求激发学生写作兴趣，提高书面表达能力。

一、高中英语书面表达现状分析
在英语写作教学中，我们经常会看到这种现象，不少学生一提起作文就愁眉苦脸、哀声叹气，表现出较为强烈的恐惧心理和排斥情绪，对写作不感兴趣，写作学习的动机水平较低。存在着“学生说到写作心烦，教师见到学生的习作头痛”的现象。笔者所在的是一所农村中学，教授的学生英语基础普遍较差，甚至有很大一部分学生早有放弃学英语的念头。记得高三刚接班的第一次月考，笔者所任教的高三（2）班作文平均分仅为7.8分，其中0分（一字未写）的学生有10个；高三（5）班虽是年级文科重点班，但作文平均分也只有11.2分，甚至也有2位学生得了0分。那么让学生产生书面表达恐惧心理的原因是什么？怎样才能克服学生对英语书面表达的恐惧心理呢？
针对以上问题笔者对所任教的两个班学生进行了问卷调查，调查表如下：
通过问卷调查笔者发现：被调查的93人中，有59人非常怕写英语作文，占63.44%；有34人很早或曾经有放弃学英语的想法，占36.56%；有78人非常在乎老师的激励性评价，占83.88%。笔者对调查结果进行了仔细分析，并对具有代表性的同学进行了个别交流，发现很大一部分学生对英语书面表达存有恐惧心理，不敢动笔去写。那么是什么原因让我们的学生害怕写作呢？
二、探究产生恐惧心理的原因
1. 书面表达难的心理定势
有些学生从一开始学习写作的时候就觉得书面表达是一种综合运用语言的能力，自己的英语水平这么差，肯定写不好，对写作表现出强烈的恐惧心理和排斥情绪，怕写或干脆不写。
2. 缺乏成功的体验
在平时的写作和考试过程中，一部分学生由于得分低，教师的评语缺乏激励，经常受到同学们的嘲笑，使他们谈作文色变，久而久之，便失去了写作的兴趣和动力。
3. 语言基础知识薄弱
很多学生在平时的英语学习中基本上不记单词和词组，不背佳句和课文段
落，这样，到了写作的时候只能是“无米之炊”。
二、寻求克服学生英语书面表达恐惧心理的有效途径
1. 克服心理定势，激活学生写作兴趣
心理学认为，人的有意义的活动总是由动机引起的，动机是直接推动有机体活动以满足个体需要的内部状态，是行为的直接原因和内部动因，是激发和维持个体进行活动，并导致该活动朝向某一目标的心理倾向或动力。书面表达难的心理定势一旦形成，这种动机就会受到严重的阻碍，学生越害怕写作，就越无法通过正常的写作训练，来提高自己的写作能力，消除实际写作困难所带来的挫败体验；而越无法提高写作能力、消除自己的写作挫败体验，就越会害怕、厌恶写作，这就慢慢形成了一个难以摆脱的消极心理怪圈。那么，如何来消除这种心理定势呢？笔者作了以下途径的尝试：
（1）高考真题结果展示，诱发学生写作动力
学生之所以会产生书面表达难的心理定势，其中一个原因就是对高考书面表达的评分标准了解不够。他们认为自己的写作水平这么差，写出来的文章肯定拿不到分数，还不如不写。笔者在开学后的第一节写作讲评课上用幻灯片给同学们展示了高考书面表达评分标准的第一、二档要求和2004年浙江省高考英语卷书面表达的评分样例：
第一档(差，1—5分)
未完成试题规定的任务。明显遗漏了主要内容；写了一些无关内容，原因可能是未了解试题的要求；语法结构单调，词汇项目有限；较多语法结构和词汇方面的错误，影响了读者对写作内容的理解；缺乏语句间的连接成分，内容不连贯；信息未能传达给读者。
第二档(较差，6—10分)
未恰当完成试题规定的任务。漏掉或未描述清楚一些主要内容；写了一些无关的内容；语法结构单调，词汇项目有限；有一些语法结构和词汇方面的错误，影响了读者对写作内容的理解；较少使用语句间的连接成分，内容缺少连贯性；信息未能清楚地传达得给读者。
看了评分标准和样例之后，同学们都很兴奋，觉得只要动笔去写，拿到第
一、二档的分数也不是那么遥不可及的。看到同学们都有这种跃跃欲试的感觉，笔者马上布臵了一篇较为简单的话题作文，这次所有的学生都动了笔，虽然有些学生的作文中错误非常多，甚至连一个正确的句子也没有，但这毕竟是一种进步，只要能让同学们的这种写作热情保持下去，他们的写作水平肯定会有所提高。当所有的学生都能顺利写出一、二两档作文的时候，我们老师就应该乘胜追击，引导他们向三、四档，甚至第五档的作文努力。
（2）因势利导，促进学生写作热情
在笔者所任教的高三（5）中有一位学生的数学和文综成绩居年级前列，但英语成绩一直都不理想，从初三开始他就基本上放弃了英语学习，至于英语考试中的书面表达他从来都是一字不写，用他的话说就是“自己根本就不是学英语的料。”但自从笔者在上次写作讲评课上展示了高考英语书面表达第一、二档的评分标准后，他也有了想动一动笔写作的念头。趁这个机会，笔者赶紧鼓励他马上动笔，并给他布臵了一篇相对比较容易写的作文。题目是：“My best friend”（80字），这个题目对于一般的学生来说是很简单，最多只有初中三年级的写作难度。但对于从来都没怎么写过英语作文的他来说要完成这篇文章并不是一件易事。看到他面露难色，笔者又给了他一些中文提示:
（ 名叫李平，今年18岁，爱好篮球和听流行音乐；擅长英语，并且经常帮助别人；同学们都很喜欢他等）。
到了晚自修的时候，他把作文交上来了：
My best friend
My best firend name is Liping. he is 18 years old. He like basketball and popular music. He like help to people. Classmate very like he .
I think he is my best firend.
虽然里面的错误非常多，字数也明显不够，按照评分标准应该属于第一档的作文，但对于他来说毕竟算是不小的进步。为了对他表示鼓励，笔者给了他6分，他欣喜若狂，发誓以后一定不会再放弃英语，放弃书写书面表达了。之后，笔者与他仔细分析了这篇作文的写法，告诉他一些写作的技巧和注意事项，要求他重新再写一篇。在此之后的英语写作中，对他的作文笔者全部都用面批的方式，从头到尾仔细分析。几次下来，他的书面表达能力有了明显的进步。他说：“老师，您放心，我一定会争气的。”有这样的毅力，这样的写作热情，写作能力当然有了很大的进步。在高考前的最后一次模拟考试中，他的作文拿到了15分。在08年的高考中也考出了75分的好成绩，顺利地上了二本。在他的带动下，全班同学的写作热情都明显提高，再也没有在英语考试中不写书面表达的学生了。
因此，教师在教学过程中要特别对这类学生予以关注，消除他们的写作恐惧心理，建立良好的师生关系，不对他们另眼相看，有点滴的进步就进行适时有度、客观地表扬，让他们永远都保持写作的极大热情。
2. 激励性讲评，让学生体验成功的喜悦
